Brown County State Park
State Road 46 West Gate and (East) Main Gate Enjoy exploring the park by hiking or horseback riding many miles of well-marked trails. Meandering through the rolling hills of Brown County State Park are about 70 miles of bridle trails and over 12 miles of hiking trails. In fact, the southwestern and eastern parts of the park can be visited only by foot or on a horse. You can bring your own horse, or enjoy guided trail rides and pony rides at the Saddle Barn. Picnickers have a variety of picnic areas to choose from, and some have shelters with fireplaces. Many are close to drinking water, restrooms, or playground equipment. Located off State Road 46 West of Nashville (Knights Corner). Go fishing, picnicking, hiking, or row a boat in this lovely wooded area. The only marked 20 mile hike in Indiana runs between Yellowwood Lake and Brown County State Park. |
